How to Use Scrollage

Complete guide to creating your visual microsite and sharing it with the world

The 3-Step Process

Sign Up & Set Up Profile

Create your account, choose your username, and customize your profile with bio, avatar, and theme color.

Create Content

Upload images, videos, carousels, text posts, or embeds. Organize them into scrolls (categories).

Share Your Link

Share your scrollage.co/yourname link everywhere. Download QR codes for offline marketing.

Getting Started

Create Your Account

Go to Sign Up page and enter:

  • Email: Your email address for login
  • Password: Secure password (min 6 characters)
  • Username: Your unique page path (e.g., "johnsmith" becomes scrollage.co/johnsmith)
  • Referral (optional): Select how you heard about us

Good News: You can change your username later in dashboard!

Change Username Anytime

Use the pencil button near your username on the dashboard to change it. Your links update automatically!

Customizing Your Profile

All profile customizations are done directly on your dashboard:

Upload Avatar

Click the avatar placeholder or the pencil icon near it to add your profile photo.

  • Recommended: Square image, 500x500px or larger
  • Formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
  • Max size: 5MB

Edit Bio

Click the pencil icon next to your bio to add a description of yourself or your business (max 500 characters).

Choose Theme Color

Pick a color from the theme color selector on your dashboard. This affects link buttons, share modal, and carousel indicators.

All changes save automatically. No save button needed!

Creating Scrolls (Categories)

What are Scrolls? Scrolls are categories for organizing your content. Examples: Portfolio, Services, Menu, Products, About Me.

Click "+ New Scroll"

In your dashboard, click the + New Scroll button.

Name Your Scroll

Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "My Services", "Portfolio", "Products").

Reorder & Add Thumbnail

After creating the scroll, you can:

  • Drag to reorder scrolls: From your dashboard, drag scrolls to control display order on your profile
  • Add thumbnail: Click the created scroll, then click the image placeholder to add a custom thumbnail

Creating Content

Image Posts

  1. Click + Create Content button
  2. Select Image
  3. Upload your image (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP - max 50MB)
  4. Add Overlay Text (optional) - text appears on the image
  5. Choose overlay style: White Outline, Black Box, or White Shadow
  6. Set text position: Top, Middle, or Bottom
  7. Select text size: Small, Medium, Large, or Extra Large
  8. Add Description (optional) - appears below image
  9. Click Create Post

Video Posts

  1. Click + Create Content
  2. Select Video
  3. Upload video (MP4, WebM, MOV - max 500MB, 60 min duration)
  4. System auto-generates thumbnail from video
  5. Add overlay text and description (same as images)
  6. Click Create Post

Carousel Posts (Multi-Image Galleries)

  1. Click + Create Content
  2. Select Carousel
  3. Click Add Images and select multiple images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP)
  4. Reorder images using ↑↓ buttons before uploading
  5. Add Individual Overlay Text: Each image can have its own overlay text with custom positioning
  6. Overlay Text Positioning (Per Image):
    • Position: Top, Middle (center), or Bottom of image
    • Size: Small, Medium, Large, or Extra Large
    • Style: White Outline (default), Black Box, or White Shadow
    • Each image in the carousel can have different position, size, and style!
  7. Add shared description for entire carousel (optional) - appears below all images
  8. Click Create Post

Viewing Experience: Users swipe horizontally (mobile) or click (desktop) to navigate through images. Dot indicators at bottom show current position and match your theme color!

Image Optimization: All carousel images are automatically compressed to WebP format (85% quality, 1440px max dimension, 500KB max size) for fast loading while maintaining high quality.

Text Posts

  1. Click + Create Content
  2. Select Text
  3. Write your message (max 250 characters)
  4. Choose background color: Black, White, Gradient, or Custom (Pro only)
  5. Text displays as a card on colored background
  6. Click Create Post

Embed Posts (YouTube, Spotify, etc.)

  1. Click + Create Content
  2. Select Embed
  3. Get embed code from platform:
    • YouTube: Click Share → Embed → Copy code
    • Spotify: Click ••• → Share → Embed → Copy code
    • TikTok: Click Share → Embed → Copy code
    • Google Maps: Click Share → Embed a map → Copy HTML
  4. Paste entire embed code into field
  5. System validates and shows platform detected
  6. Add description (optional)
  7. Click Create Post

Managing & Editing Content

Edit Content

Hover over any content in the scroll viewer to see the pencil/edit icon. Click it to update text, description, or overlay, then save.

Reorder Content

Drag and drop content cards to change order. Order determines how viewers see your content when swiping.

Delete Content

Hover over content to see the delete button. Click it and confirm deletion.

Contact Links & Custom External Links

Two Types of Links: Contact Links (communication channels) and Custom External Links (your other websites/platforms/payment gateway/affiliate links/booking link etc). Contact links will be shown on profile page as icons on top and also will be shown in contact button modal while viewing contents. External links will be shown in the link button while viewing contents.

Contact Links (Communication Channels)

How to Add Contact Links:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Click menu (≡) → Manage Contact Links
  2. Modal opens showing all available contact link types
  3. Click ON the platforms you want to display
  4. Enter required information for each enabled link
  5. Click Save Changes

Available Contact Link Types:

  • Phone: Enter phone number with country code (e.g., +1234567890) - Creates click-to-call button
  • WhatsApp: Enter WhatsApp number - Opens direct chat in WhatsApp app/web
  • Email: Enter email address - Opens user's email client with your email pre-filled
  • Instagram: Enter Instagram username (without @) - Links to your Instagram profile
  • TikTok: Enter TikTok username (with or without @) - Links to your TikTok profile
  • Twitter/X: Enter Twitter/X handle - Links to your Twitter/X profile
  • Website: Enter your website URL - Direct link to your main website
  • etc

Where Contact Links Appear:

  • Profile Page: Displayed as icon buttons on top
  • Contact Button Modal: Also shown in contact button modal while viewing contents
  • Styling: Icons use your theme color for visual consistency
  • Order: Fixed order based on link type (Phone, WhatsApp, Email, etc.)

Custom External Links (Your Other Platforms)

How to Add Custom Links:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Click menu (≡) → Manage Custom Links
  2. Modal opens with list of your existing custom links
  3. Click + Add Link button
  4. Enter Label (button text, e.g., "My Portfolio", "Buy on Amazon", "YouTube Channel")
  5. Enter URL (full URL including https://)
  6. Click Add Link
  7. Drag links to reorder them using drag handles
  8. Delete unwanted links with trash icon
  9. Changes save automatically

Custom Links Features:

  • Unlimited Links: Add as many custom links as you want
  • Custom Labels: Your button text - make it clear and actionable
  • Any URL: Link to YouTube, LinkedIn, online store, booking page, portfolio, etc.
  • Reorderable: Drag and drop to change order (most important links at top)
  • Easy Management: Edit or delete anytime from the modal

Where Custom Links Appear:

  • Scroll Viewer: Styled buttons appear on scroll pages
  • Link Button Modal: Shown in the link button while viewing contents
  • Styling: Buttons use your theme color as background
  • Order: Your custom order from the management modal
  • Opens in New Tab: Keeps your Scrollage page open

Sharing Your Scrollage

Your Unique Link

Your link is: scrollage.co/yourname

Share it on:

  • Instagram bio
  • TikTok bio
  • Twitter/X bio
  • Email signature
  • Business cards
  • Social media posts

QR Code

Access your QR code immediately from:

  • Dashboard: Click the QR code icon next to your copy link button
  • Individual scrolls: Click the QR code icon in the scroll management page
  • Click Download QR Code to get the image
  • Print it on: Business cards, flyers, table tents, storefront windows, packaging
  • People scan it with their phone camera to visit your Scrollage

Share Button

Visitors can click the share button on your profile to copy link or share on social media.

File Uploads & Downloads (Pro)

Perfect for: Sharing videos, documents, images, portfolios, resumes, course materials, PDFs, presentations, catalogs and more

Upload Files

  1. Click menu (≡) → Files
  2. Click Upload Files
  3. Select files (PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, images)
  4. Files appear in your Files section
  5. Visitors can download them from your profile

Rename Files

Click file → Click rename icon → Enter new name → Save

Delete Files

Click file → Click delete icon → Confirm deletion

Viewing Analytics

Profile Views

Your dashboard shows total profile views. Updated in real-time as people visit your page.

Scroll Views

Each scroll shows its view count. See which categories are most popular.

Common Questions & Troubleshooting

Q: Can I change my username or display name?

A: You can update your username from the dashboard using the pencil icon near your username. Your links update automatically!

Q: My content won't upload. What's wrong?

A: Check file size (images: 50MB max, videos: 500MB max). Try a stable internet connection.

Q: How do I cancel my subscription?

A: Cancel anytime from your dashboard — go to menu (≡) → Manage Subscription → Cancel. No fees. You keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.

Q: Can visitors see my analytics?

A: No, only you see view counts and analytics. Visitors only see your content.

Q: What happens if I downgrade from Pro?

A: Existing content stays visible. You can't add new content beyond free limits until you delete some.

Q: Can I use Scrollage for business?

A: Absolutely! Many businesses use Scrollage for menus, services, products, and portfolios.
